Yesterday, I had some bills changed for hundreds. One of them turned out to be the UP Commemorative 100 bills (i don't know exactly what they're called)...didn't know bout them until yesterday...kaya yun, happy happy joy joy...sayang nga lang kasi ung first 100 ko, may nakasulat na 65 sa tabi (sabi ko nga ipatad sa last two...hahaha! =p) so with the help of ate anna (thanks te!), we got more UP 100 bills...yey!

so ayun, pwede na ipa frame o ipa laminate...haha. =p
Btw, I learned also that these cost 4 for a Php 1000 when they came out...ang mahal ah. Pero may signature naman ni Pres. Roman, so worth it i guess. Meron rin daw nung mga d pa na-cut...5k a piece...whoah...=p

today is my 22nd birthday.

today i realize how fast time flies, and i wonder if i mature as i grow older each year.

today i thought of the people whom i wanted to share today with. my papus...how much i miss you! my best friend...who's in Manila reaching for her dreams. a dear friend of mine...who's been living far from us since we were in college...i remembered my 15th birthday when we all were cramped in my little room on my birthday. and a friend that i lost sometime last year.

today i think of the people who love me and care for me enough to spend their time doing something to make my day special. to my mom and mama, for our delicious food. and to all those who managed to take a little time off of their busy schedules to text me or leave a message on my page. Thank you.

today was really nothing extraordinary. but still i'm thankful. =)

I don't really understand most of the words in the title alone. Most of them are so foreign to me, that I don't even think they're in the English language. I am desperate to try and sound like I know even a bit of this stuff, but I don't. In fact, I think I may be going bonkers right about now...argh...why do these stuff always have a knack for making our lives more complicated? Okay okay, I know they make things easier...or in OR/MS terms, more optimal...but heck...can't they translate these into lay man's terms!?!

hello cyberworld!

you'll never know how i could still find the time to be writing these words when in 30 minutes, i will be taking our midterm exam in Organizational Behavior..and in two hours, the dreaded deterministic and probabilistic models of choice exam.

i think the utter lack of sleep and the whole week's worth of heavy workload and paper cramming has led me to literally not accept any more information that i try so desperately to chug into my brain...so i decided to take a break and just think: que sera sera!

oh how i imagine things that i could have been doing had i not enrolled myself in this masteral degree...i could have probably slept until 11 am today...and in fact every saturday (that is if i had no office work to do). head out to the mall in the afternoon, maybe watch a movie or stay at home all day and watch dvds of my favorite tv series one tree hill...or maybe still be in ss...or clean my room...ho hum.

how lovely that would have been...

...that it is definitely not good to deliberately forget your iron if you're anemic (hmmm...guilty)

...that you could force yourself to barf when you really need to without sticking your finger in your mouth (eew...)

...that you could completely forget that you're not feeling well when your job requires you to be on your toes (buti nalang!)

...that sleep is a luxury when you have a job and taking your masteral at UP (sira ulo kasi, kusang kumuha ng bato at pinukpok sa ulo)

haaaay...must i always learn the hard way??? ;p

Today was weird.

Before heading out for lunch, Anna and I passed by the branch to do some transactions. I was surprised when one of my officemates turned to me and said, in a very curious manner, May question ako sayo... Kaslunon na daw ka?

What?!

According to my officemate, rumors had it that I had gone on leave a couple of weeks ago to attend a pre-cana (by God, I don't even know how to spell that word, let alone know what it means!).  Turns out (as explained by Anna), this was the process that people who want to get married undergo before actually getting married (including seminars and all that stuff).

At first I just laughed it off...but after thinking about it, I got kinda pissed. I couldn't explain why I was...after all it obviously isn't true...but I just was.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against getting married (in fact I hope to do that in the future). It was just the way it was brought up. It was a bit offensive, how people could come with such rumors.

So anyway...(although my officemate will not get the chance to read this) I AM NOT GETTING MARRIED. (at least not yet)

I went on leave to attend the Summer Bridge Program for the Master in Management Program which I am currently enrolled in.

Moving on...

This incident got me thinking. What do I really wanna do with my life?

So, I made a mental listing of my TO DO List:

1. Finish my Master's degree in December 2009 and graduate in April 2010 (I'd be 23 by then)
2. Get promoted to Job Level B and apply for Officership after I graduate (I should have applied for this at the get go...I was kinda qualified sana to be an external hire...boohoo...)
3. Be an officer before I turn 25

(then I could proceed to the difficult things...)

4. Learn how to cook ( I eat, and just eat...I don't/can't/won't cook)
5. Develop a 'love' for cooking (haha...we'll see)
6. Buy my own car!!!
7. Buy my own house...?
8. Think of other stuff to do next...

tomorrow's a big day for me...it's the start of a three-day Vacation Leave from work (after eight long months of working for BPI), and the start of my MM life. i'm enrolling for the UP Min School of Management Master in Management degree.

let's see...i decided to pursue a Masters degree on a whim. and since i was 'recruited' by a UP professor, who was incidentally one of my boss' frat brods, to take up MM, i soon found myself filling out the application forms that he gave me. the entrance exam was by far the most vicious exam i have ever taken in my life! imagine, a written exam for four hours, followed by an essay exam then a panel interview immediately after...i was sure i was going to fail.

but, God is good...he made me pass the exam...whew...

oh well...now that i'm gonna go through with it, i guess i'm digging a grave for myself already. huhuhu....i am very pessimistic about the whole thing. i'm scared that i might not be able to survive working ang studying at the same time. at least not with flying colors anyway...and i sure as hell want to have high grades...hahaha! on top of that, i will be supporting myself 100% this time. i'll be paying for every thing, tuition fees, misc fees, and all there is to it.

the whole degree takes 32 units to finish, divided into five terms of about three months each. classes are on saturdays only but take the whole day to finish...that's 8 units in one day...so about 2 hours per subject.

and did i mention that i'm scared as hell already? hay nalang...nagpalisud lisod lang gyud ko sa akong kinabuhi...haha!

anyway, i guess there's only one way to find out if i can do it...i'll get back to you after a year and a half...=S
